About Me

Rebecca Wilson (she/her) is a NY based director/producer/developer of new works. She makes theater that explores human connection, highlights obscure historical events, and reminds everyone that women can be very funny.

She has been the resident director at The Crush Plays Project since playwright/actor Sarah Hoogenraad founded it in early 2024. Their latest show, This Stop, was a finalist at the Queens Short Play Festival. Last year, Rebecca developed a new play, atticwife, with playwright/actor Laura Clare Browne. atticwife made its debut at Limefest at The Tank in August 2025, and has a bright future in 2026 (details to come!)

Other recent directing credits include Teddy Grey Joins the 27 Club (devised with Teddy Grey and presented at 54 Below), 1900’s Women Bonding (Chain One Act Festival), God Gives Ryan A Very Important Job (finalist, Samuel French OOB Festival), The Wizard of Oz, Significant Other, among others. Rebecca has had the pleasure of assisting directors Michael Bello, Chris Henry, and Lorna Ventura.

When she’s not in rehearsal, you can likely find Rebecca seeing a show her friends are in. She loves her artist community! Reach out to collaborate or follow her adventures here. Thanks for stopping by!
